He Used To Have Type 2 Diabetes, 8XL Size, Weighed 480 Pounds, But 6000 Miles Turned Him Into Much Healthier 196 Pounds Person

It is highly recommended by the health experts to make 10,000 steps daily in order to stay fit and physically active for long years. Of course, following this recommendation give your overall wellness a boost. According to the scientific research of the "Medicine & Science in Sports & Exercise", Americans make only 5,117 steps daily, which is much lower. Nevertheless, the recent research of the Public Health England proved that the 10-minute walk can be even better.

There is a man who proved that walking can not only help to reduce weight, but also make you a healthier person. Dave Lancaster, the 45-years-old call center manager, lost more than 280 pounds after walking 6,000 miles.

Dave used to weigh 480 pounds and wore 8XL shirts in 2016, and was not keeping the healthy diet. He liked sausages, chips, and pies so much he couldn’t imagine his life without such kind of food. It was hard for him to walk, and Dave was running out of breath very quickly:

I found it difficult to walk to the end of my road, I went out so rarely except for work that I was close to becoming a recluse, and I was nearing almost complete immobility. It felt as though as I was getting bigger and bigger, my world was gradually shrinking.

But one day he decided to change the whole lifestyle, and the result went beyond all expectations. In just two years, he shed more than two-thirds of his body weight.

Now, Dave Lancaster weighs 196 pounds and feels himself much better. By the way, he even managed to reverse the type 2 diabetes. Walking and the change of lifestyle made him a much healthier and happier person.

His life is so much different now:

I can fit in the seat of any car I like and on buses, trains and planes; I don’t have to worry about breaking benches or garden furniture anymore. I can buy clothes on the high street and put my own socks on easily; I can walk miles and run up and down the stairs…the list is endless.

Dave proves that it is never too late to start doing exercises and stay fit. Now, he is a healthy man who wants to do more and more every day. He has many goals and is sure he can achieve everything. What an inspiring man he is!
