Nursing staff like regular women get pregnant and have babies. However, one hospital in Mesa, Arizona, may have broken a world record for nursing personnel pregnancy. Sixteen women at the hospital, who make up 10% of the nursing staff, in the ICU are expecting at the same time.
On Friday 17, the women gave a news conference at the Banner Health Hospital. Speaking at the event, Rochelle Sherman, who is due to deliver in about a month, said the pregnancies were unplanned, but finding out was quite pleasant.
I don't think we realized just how many of us were pregnant until we started a Facebook group. It's like we had some kind of pact going on.

All sixteen women are set to deliver between September 2018 and January 2019. The hospital staff planned a joint baby shower for the women as a friendly farewell before they begin their 12 weeks maternity leave.
Although there may be a slight shortage of personnel, the hospital is still glad for the service these women provide. Before they leave, the women have been restricted from attending to some cases, like those involving chemotherapy and certain medication, for the safety of their babies.

And they are not leaving empty handed. All the women received gift packages from the hospital, including these adorable onesies.
Patients noticed the surprising number of pregnant nurses, but it was not a cause for concern, as the women are still very capable.

Meanwhile, the story is going viral on social media, and the comments are everything between hilarious and cheeky.
Congratulations to all the nurses and the Banner Health Hospital! We wish all the women safe delivery.
