Wrinkles around the eyes are one of the first signs of aging. It can be frustrating to see increasingly noticeable crow’s feet and fine lines under your eyelids, especially if you’re a woman. While there’s nothing you can do about the passing of time, there are a few tricks to keep the area around your eyes well-toned and smooth, and they are surprisingly simple.

5 natural remedies to reduce wrinkles around the eyes

Grapes are a great source of antioxidant resveratrol, which can counter the damage caused by free radicals and make signs of aging less noticeable. You already know that eating grapes is good for you, but they can also be applied directly on the skin to reduce the appearance of wrinkles. Here’s what you should do:

  • cut a cold grape in half;
  • rub the halves on the area around your eyes for a couple of minutes;
  • leave the juice on your skin for about 20 minutes so it’s absorbed;
  • rinse your eyes with cool or lukewarm water afterward.

2. Yogurt

Yogurt moisturizes and nourishes your skin, which can help make your wrinkles less noticeable. It’s even more powerful in combination with other ingredients:

  • combine 1 tablespoon of plain yogurt and 1 teaspoon of honey;
  • add several drops of rose water to this mixture;
  • apply the paste on the skin around your eyes and let it sit for 20 minutes;
  • rinse the paste off with cool water.

3. Avocado

Avocado is one of the best sources of the much sought-after monounsaturated fatty acids, which can nourish your skin from within. The fruit is also rich in vitamins A and E, which are great for your skin health. In addition to eating avocados, you can also apply them to different areas of your face:

  • mash or blend an avocado;
  • apply this paste on the area around your eyes and let it sit for 15-20 minutes;
  • rinse the avocado off with cool water.

4. Coffee beans

Antioxidants found in coffee beans can have a great rejuvenating effect on your skin and reduce the appearance of wrinkles. Here’s how to apply them:

  • combine equal parts of finely ground coffee bean powder with cocoa powder;
  • add enough honey to this mixture to form a paste;
  • apply the paste on the area around your eyes and leave it on for approximately 15 minutes;
  • rinse the paste off with cool water.

5. Banana

Bananas are an excellent source of vitamins A, C, and E, which can help counter some effects of aging. The fruit is also very gentle to your skin. Its use is simple:

  • mash one half of a banana;
  • apply the paste on the area under your eyes for 15 to 20 minutes;
  • rinse the paste off with cool water.

All of these remedies are gentle to your skin, so it’s safe to use them daily. Apply them regularly on the skin around your eyes (or on your whole face, for that matter), and you’ll notice the effect pretty soon.
