"Octomom" Who Receives Over $36,000 Of Benefits Spends $3,000 On Breast Surgery And Thinks She Needs Bigger Size

Octomom Marie Buchan, first sparked outrage last year when she appeared on This Morning and told her plans about going to Turkey for breast surgery which costs $3,000. The most interesting, however, was the fact the woman claims $36,000 a year in benefits.

"They are too small"

Ms Buchan claims she raised the cash for cosmetic surgery through car boot sales and stints as a care assistant and car mechanic. But despite working less than 16 hours a week she is still eligible for her huge state handouts.

Marie, who used to be a lap-dancer, traveled to Istanbul to increase her cup size from 34B to 36DD. She stayed in a hotel paid for by the clinic before flying back home to Birmingham.

But, nine months after the cosmetic surgery, she told The Sun that the results were anything but swell. The 36-year-old - who insisted the procedure was not paid for from her benefits - said she was now only a 34C and was also in pain.

"I was shocked to discover my new boobs aren't the size I paid for, they are too small."

- she said.

The devastated woman admitted that although the price of the surgery wasn't high and she was well looked after once she was there, now she's "left in agony."

"I want to warn people to think again (about surgery abroad) – the price might be good and you may well be looked after when you’re there but, once you get back into the UK, there is zero aftercare, which is really important. It left me feeling very depressed.

Marie believed that the surgery will help boost her confidence but it seems that it only left her disappointed.

She went on to say:

"I have suffered in silence because i was too embarrassed to go my own doctor or hospital and say I have been abroad to have a breast enlargement and I’ve been left in agony. "

Whatever advantages accrue to better looks, they don't seem to make plastic surgery patients feel better.
