Tao Porchon-Lynch is one of the most inspiring women you’ll ever meet. She is a professional yoga instructor, who has been practicing the Ancient Indian teaching since she was only 8 years old.
Since that time, she has made herself known as the master in her field. Her yoga classes are still incredibly popular but this is not the only thing she’s good at.
Porchon-Lynch is also an accomplished ballroom dancer with many awards behind her belt. Last year, Tao celebrated her 100th birthday and she has no plans to stop.
What is Tao’s secret to a happy life?
Even at 100 years old, Tao Porchon-Lynch is still doing what she loves the most. She continues to teach classes a few times a week and she still shows her best dance moves in the local Fred Astaire society.
Her next birthday is getting closer and closer as she turns 101 on August 13 but Tao claims that she feels as good as ever. But what is her secret?
The legendary yoga master said:
When I wake up in the morning, I look at the sun and I say, "This is going to be the best day of my life" and it will be. It always is.
It’s pretty simple, isn’t it? We should all try it.
Porchon-Lynch’s age has never stopped her from achieving what she wants. This January, she received an extremely prestigious Padma Shri Award 2019 for her incredible accomplishments.
This is one of the highest civilian honors that a proud Indian can get from the government. We are certain that there are many more awards to come for Tao in the future.
