No matter how hard you’ve tried to stick to your diet, all bets are off as soon as the holiday season arrives.

During the six-week delicious food extravaganza, many people seem to forget about the promises they made to themselves before they saw the sweet potato casserole coming out of the oven.

Thus, we’ve all experienced holidays weight gain. However, it’s not as bad as some might think. According to The New England Journal of Medicine’s study, the average American only gains around 1 or 2 pounds. But how to avoid weight gain altogether?

Sebastien Lagree is here to help

Sebastien Lagree, the founder of Lagree Fitness and Meghan Markle’s personal trainer, claims the holiday season doesn’t have to destroy our healthy habits.

Contrary to the popular belief, it’s possible to stay loyal to healthy eating and an exercise regime from Thanksgiving to New Year's and here’s how.

Lagree says it’s important to create clear goals and stick to them without feeding yourself the “I will do it tomorrow” lie. Another good trick is to have a healthy meal before you leave for the holiday feast, instead of “saving” your calories for one sitting.

Also, make sure you are drinking plenty of water between food servings to assess how hungry you actually are. What about working out? Try to fit in at least a couple of exercises every day, even if you have to do them in your old tiny room at your parents’ house.

Sebastien Lagree knows what he’s talking about. He is the creator of the “pilates on steroids” method and has a long list of celebrity clients.

Not only Meghan Markle is a big fan. Sophia Vergara, Jennifer Aniston and her pal Courtney Cox, Kim Kardashian, Vanessa Hudgens, and many more A-listers adore Lagree’s workouts. What is so special about them?

Sebastien combines traditional Pilates with cardio. The personal trainer makes his clients hit treadmill right after their Pilates sessions. We love that idea and it seems to be working pretty well judging by how gorgeous all those women look. Would you try Meghan Markle‘s workout?
