However, some have managed to rise above it and use their story as a source of inspiration. One of such impressive people is Jaymee.

Jaymee's story

Jaymee was just 14 when she had her first child. Like most cases, it wasn't planned. She had missed her period for three months and confided in her mother about it.

By the time they went to the hospital, it was discovered that Jaymee was 16 weeks far along. Jaymee's world came crashing down, but she was able to draw strength from her mum.

In a similar vein, Jaymee's mum Tobii had her when she was 16 and was able to help her navigate through it. In a lucky twist of fate, her 31-year-old mum was pregnant with her sixth child.

The mother-daughter duo shared the pregnancy experience together with many people, often mistaking them for sisters. In August 2013, Jaymee's daughter, Harleigh, was born.

After nurturing Harleigh with the help of her mum, Jaymee decided to do better. She went back to school six weeks after. The young mum got her GCSEs and joined a Business Administration course at college.

While speaking to Daily Mail, Jaymee stated that even though having a child at such a young age was devastating. She chose to make something positive out of it.

"I want to show people that teen mums can - if they really want - stay at school and raise their child. It's hard, but I won't be criticized, and I am going to make everyone proud."

Harleigh is all grown!

The little bundle of joy is now grown, and she is turning into a beauty like her mother. Jaymee is setting an excellent example for her, and they love taking lovely photos together!

At the end of it all, life is all about turning our situations around for better, not only for ourselves but for the good of others. Thumbs up to Jaymee for rising above her circumstance!
