Weddings are expensive. Even if you try to keep to a reasonable cost, you're guaranteed to spend a pretty penny. But how much is too much?

A lot of money

According to TheKnot, the national average cost of a wedding is $33,931.

They arrived at this number after surveying 14,000 couples who got married in 2018 and analyzed their expenses (excluding the honeymoon).

An $80k wedding

If your eyes are twitching from seeing how much an average couple spends on a wedding, you're about to be even more surprised by how far this bride is willing to go.

A woman's social media rant is annoying quite a few people on Reddit. The post, initially shared on a Facebook bridal group, was reposted on Reddit so people can offer their opinions.

Fiancé is in a bridal group on Facebook and came across this one from r/insanepeoplefacebook

The bride said she had a problem with her fiance because he didn't want to take a second job to foot their wedding bills, which, according to her, cost up to $80,000. She explained that she quit her job because planning the wedding was taking so much of her time.

She said she didn't have time to get ready for work, drive to and fro while also finding some time in between to plan her dream wedding. As a result, she made the decision to quit.

But the flaw in this plan was that they would not be able to afford her "dream wedding" with just her fiance's one income. Hence, she insisted that he should get a second job so he could earn more money.

Evidently, the suggestion by her fiance that they should spend less and go for what they could afford came off as unreasonable to the bride who said;

I refuse to have anything but my dream wedding.

She shared her post online to see what others think.

Bridezilla?

The term 'bridezilla' is used to describe a bride who becomes unreasonable, and sometimes downright unpleasant when it comes to having her wedding the exact way she wants it.

This word does describe the annoyed bride in this post. What advice do you have for her?
