Mothers are a teacher, advisor, helper, and caregiver all wrapped up in a single package. None of these roles are utilized for their own benefit. When they receive the title of a parent, a child to who looks up to them, self-care goes high on a forgotten shelf. However, it's never too late to treat yourself.

Women often shy from salon pampering because they consider it selfish. This notion is fractured at the very base. Why? Because you cannot pour from an empty cup, ladies. First, replenish your own soul and then move on to nourish others.

Wedding-worthy makeover

A 57-year-old woman from South of Missouri caught the attention of Today show just outside the studio's plaza. She was a mom to three children and grandma to five grandkids.

Her signboard mentioned how she wants to look good at her youngest son's wedding. The lady further revealed that the last time she wore makeup was at her other son's nuptials, four years ago.

Becky's friends, Barb and Debbie waited in anticipation with blindfolds on. She was ambushed with an unbelievable transformation. The warm hue of her hair and the short-fringed bob brought out the diva in her. The modest mom exclaimed with excitement after taking a look in the mirror: "Gosh, I look good!"

Another style correction

Previously, Hoda Kotb and Kathie Lee had plucked out a cancer survivor from the crowd. The style guru, Louis Licari fulfilled the 57-year-old woman's dream to feel and look beautiful again. It was an emotional, inspiring and liberating experience for her. How touching!
