If you are not new to the world of television. the name 'Simon Cowell' should ring many bells. Most people know him as the often stiff-lipped judge on The X Factor and American Idol fans love to hate. While his on-screen personality can be abrasive sometimes, it has done little to diminish his earnings.

In fact, Cowell is one of the highest paid faces on television, reportedly raking in $45 million between June 2017 and June 2018. His annual salary crosses the $95 million mark, and his net worth stands at $570 million.

Cowell’s company, Syco TV, produces The X Factor, Britain’s Got Talent and America’s Got Talent. Before that he was a judge on American Idol and at his peak, he earned $33 million.

Eric will not get an inheritance

With all that money in the bank, it looks like Cowell has no plans of leaving his son Eric any. For him, his legacy to his son is more than money so he wouldn’t have to depend on handouts.

I’m going to leave my money to somebody. A charity, probably — kids and dogs. I don’t believe in passing on from one generation to another. Your legacy has to be that hopefully you gave enough people an opportunity, so that they could do well, and you gave them your time, taught them what you know.

Sorry, Eric, daddy’s money seem destined to help heal the world when he is gone, so you really have to buckle up and make your own.

His son motivates him

Cowell has no plans of retiring and he gives his 4-year-old son Eric credit for it. Speaking in an Extra TV interview earlier this year, Cowell said he would continue working as long as he can to keep the business together, while Eric learns the ropes.

I actually think it's the best incentive I've ever had to keep everything running as well as I possibly can. I would do with him what my dad did. I would have him start as an intern, learn the job. The idea that one day he could be doing this or something similar, I would love that.

If you are wondering whether Eric is anywhere close to being as caustic as his father is on TV, you are wrong. Cowell revealed his son is quite the opposite and very polite. He may be too young to take a seat at a judges’ table, but as long as Cowell is around, his son Eric is set for life.
