Keep Out! Prince Harry And Meghan Markle Turned Frogmore Into $4 Million "Fortress" For Privacy, Royal Author Says

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are fiercely protective of their newborn son Archie. Even before the little one was born, his royal parents realized that the media attention might get a bit too overwhelming, so they're taking every step they can to give Archie a shot at normal life.

Harry, who grew up with a camera constantly in his face, doesn't want the same life for his son. A royal insider told Express:

[Harry] is fiercely determined to protect his newborn from the glare of public opinion which he has had to bear – which became especially oppressive when he lost his mother Diana. Harry and William had to go through that unbearable grief not in private but before the eyes – and camera lenses – of the entire world. He was just a kid and he hated it. Harry is fiercely protective of Archie and has promised him he will never have to go through that. Of course Meghan, who has lived a large part of her life in front of cameras, agrees wholeheartedly. He’ll basically protect Archie with his life.

Part of creating the desired safe environment for Archie is securing their home – Frogmore Cottage, and seems like Sussexes might've achieved the ultimate privacy.

Sussexes' $4 million "fortress"

Katie Nicholl, an expert on the royal family, spoke about the Frogmore Cottage renovations during her latest appearance on popular talk show Lorraine. Nicholl said Harry's and Meghan's estate is basically a "fortress" now and they're perfectly hidden from the public eye in there:

We know that they're living this wonderful tucked away life at Frogmore Cottage which is pretty much, from what I hear, a fortress. They've made privacy the key factor.

Although there's no problem in wanting to be safe in their own home, press had made it perfectly clear that the royal couple has spent over $3.7 million of taxpayers' money on the renovations, which is not sitting well with the public. Add Archie's top secret christening to that and you get a neverending backlash.

In addition, it seems that Meghan's behavior, such as appearing at Wimbledon and attending a glam movie premiere in London, contradicts with her desire to have privacy, which leaves many scratching their heads.

We hope that the upcoming tour of Africa will put Harry and Meghan back into the public's graces and calm everyone down regarding their heightened privacy demands.
