Adopting Poochie

On February 11, Bryan and his family adopted the senior dog, an Aussie mix, from a Tennesse shelter, Proverbs 12:10 Animal Rescue, who shared the good news of Poochie finding a new home on Facebook.

The dear dog had been put away by his original owners after it caused a series of allergies, but he very quickly became a part of the Byrans home.

They lost him less than 2 weeks later

Unfortunately, Poochie did not get to spend a lot of time with his new family. He spent almost two weeks with the Bryans before his demise but they were probably some of the best days of his life.

In an Instagram post, the country singer's wife Caroline shared news of the loss alongside his best moments. She said their family was grateful to have lived Poochie's final days with him and added that he was spoiled for attention by her, her husband, and kids.

If the kindest souls were rewarded with the longest lives, dogs would outlive us all, ♥️ My heart is sad but full to post this..our sweet Prince Poochie has passed away. He lived 18 years and was loved by so many people. My kids especially loved to hear him snore when he slept! Thank you.

People are touched by this

Caroline did not state if Poochie had been sick or if his demise was from natural causes but people online are nonetheless touched by their act of love.

It's comforting to know that the senior dog lived his last days surrounded by love.
