Of course you wonder if it’s you, what am I doing wrong, or what have I done wrong. I remember having conversations with Mike trying to make sense of it all.

She continued:

But the miscarriages made me get real with God and say, ‘Okay, I’m kind of giving up a little bit. If this isn’t meant to happen, then I need to accept that and know that someday I’ll understand why.

Carrie later said she had a heart to heart talk with God as she thought another miscarriage was going to happen. She received good news after her trip to the doctor. It wasn’t long after that the star and her husband welcomed their second son, Jacob. The singer described her child as “this perfect little bundle of a smiley guy."

What the lessons have taught her

The mother of two, who opened up about the three miscarriages she experienced, said she has learned from the trying period she faced before having her second child. She said:

If there's anything the past couple of years have taught me is that you don't know what's gonna happen next.
