The royals toured distant countries, moved out of Kensington Palace into their own place, and, most importantly, welcomed a wonderful baby boy. Their relationship is evolving rapidly, but is it moving in the right direction? Has it changed for the better or worse? A body language expert shed light on what the couple's relationship is really like.

Are Meghan and Harry as in love as they were a year ago?

On their wedding day, both Harry and Meghan were overcome with strong emotions. Body language expert Judi James told Harper’s Bazaar back then that the couple looked completely in love. Has anything changed since then?

Speaking to Yahoo Style UK, James said that there really was a change – a positive one. She believes Harry and Meghan’s love for each other only grew stronger.

James said that “it’s clear from their body language that Harry and Meghan are floating on a puffball of bliss.” She also noted that Harry very much enjoys his role as a husband and dad:

Harry has moved from the roles of younger brother and single son to husband of a beautiful, eloquent and confident US actress and father of one.

Throughout the year-long process he’s looked like a man who can’t quite believe his luck.

The expert added that overall, the royal couple’s body language changed very little, which is a good sign:

This in itself says a lot about their relationship. A younger, less experienced or even more manipulative bride could easily have activated Harry's protective side, meaning we would have been seeing him using frequent eye-checking and reassurance signals when they were in public and even some signs of resentment from Harry when they spoke to or posed for the press.

All in all, James said the couple “is coping and coping well”, despite the pressures of life in the spotlight, attacks in the media, and Meghan’s difficult relationship with her dad and stepsiblings.
