Anna Pasternak is an accomplished author, who wrote a bestselling book titled The Real Wallis Simpson. She says it's Meghan and Harry who inspired her interest to walk down the memory lane and rehabilitate Wallis Simpson’s name.
Pasternak also believes that the Duchess of Sussex is destined to repeat Wallis’ history by shaking the royal family with the same scandal that took years to leave in the past.
The new Wallis?
Anna Pasternak claimed that the pregnant Duchess might be in danger. She believes that Meghan is considered to be a “threat to the throne” the royal court might want to get rid of.
The writer compared Prince Harry’s wife with Wallis Simpson, who shocked the crown by marrying King Edward VII. Pasternak says that the two women have a lot in common and she sees Wallis’ spirit in the Duchess.
In a sense Meghan has rejuvenated the spirit of Wallis and I hope people take the view of her as a kind, witty, loyal and dignified person who unfairly became the most vilified woman in the world.
Pasternak reveals that she feels “worried” about Meghan as she thinks the Duchess is set for “downfall.” She commented:
Meghan is like a grenade that's been thrown into this archaic system and there are explosions already going on which I think will continue.
But what can the Duchess do to help herself? The author gives advice in her article for Tatler, where she says that the former actress needs to “wise up” and gain an understanding of “constitutional monarchy.”
We hope that Meghan will make her own history and not repeat someone else’s.
