Giving birth is not an easy task. It doesn’t matter whether you are doing it in a filthy taxi or in a fancy hospital, it’s gonna hurt anyway. Nonetheless, there is one place that the British royalty took a fancy to when it comes to having a baby.

Kate and Pippa Middleton, Princess Diana, and Princess Anne – all of them chose the Lindo Wing at St. Mary's Hospital as their maternity ward.

However, the Duchess of Sussex might break this old tradition. At least Princess Diana’s former butler thinks so.

Will she choose a different hospital?

Some people believe that the Duchess of Sussex will likely to ditch her sister-in-law’s advice when it comes to the place to give birth. And one of those people is the former royal butler, Paul Burrell.

Burrell believes that instead of the royal’s favorite Lindo Wing, the Duchess will choose an American run hospital. But she might do it just as an act of disobedience to show that she plays by her own rules.

When speaking to Fabulous Online, the former royal butler said:

Meghan is likely to buck all traditions when it comes to having the baby, just watch where it is born. I don’t think she will use the Lindo Wing, I think she will use an American hospital like The Portland. I don’t think she will go the same path as Kate.

And why Mr. does Burrell think that? Simply because Meghan is known to ditch the traditions and do the things in her way. He explained:

I get the feeling she’s out to do things differently, it’s her way, Meghan’s way. I think she’s going to be very strong and defiant.

Paul has talked about the royal mom-to-be on numerous occasions. When Meghan and Harry revealed to the world that they are expecting their first child, he urged the couple to name the baby in honor of the Prince's late mother, if it’s a girl.

Only time will show whether Meghan will actually give birth somewhere else rather than the Lindo Wing and how she and her husband will name their child. But we can’t wait to find out.
