Just a few hours after giving birth to her third bundle of joy, the Duke and the Duchess stepped out at the Lindo Wing to show their precious child to the public.

The 36-year-old mom looked absolutely wonderful in her red dress with a white collar. Her hairdo and makeup were also on fleek. You can’t even tell she went into labor that day!

With so many people having gathered to see the royal baby, it’s surprising that little prince’s relatives didn’t hurry to do the same.

In particular, it was the 9th day after the birth of Louis Arthur Charles when his grandfather finally decided to meet him!

But there’s a reason it took him so long

On April 23, when Kate delivered Prince Louis of Cambridge, Charles was at Birkhall together with his wife, Duchess Camilla.

Unfortunately, the Prince of Wales was unable to fly to see his grandson right away because he had to attend the WWI centenary service in France on April 25.

After the event, Charles flew back to Scotland on a private plane. The trip was paid by the Australian government, which also organized the service.

Besides, it looks like the Prince of Wales wanted to make a surprise visit by popping in at the celebration of his other grandkid - Princess Charlotte. Surprisingly, he came alone without his wife Camilla. Instead, the Duchess of Cornwall paid a visit to the family a day earlier.

Actually, Prince Charles was not the only senior royal who flew in late. The Queen stopped by her great-grandkid just one day before the Prince of Wales. And Prince Philip, who had a hip replacement surgery, was unable to travel as well.
