The Duchess of Sussex made an unexpected visit to New York City as she meant to catch up with her closest pals. There, she also threw a lavish $300K baby shower with the guest-list featuring the who-not of Hollywood. Her 5-day solo trip included a fun-dose of shopping, hanging out, and of course, simply enjoying good American food with her girlfriends.
Mom's not invited
While the Sussex stunner was feted by her celebrity pals at The Mark Party in New York City, her mother, Doria Ragland was spotted alone in Los Angeles. The exclusive photos showed the grandma-to-be running errands in her all-black ensemble.
She was carrying a hefty box to her car before she headed back inside to grab a container of some food items. After the task, she jumped into her car and just drove off. Some even suggested that she doesn't really care for anything fancy.
There is no clear indication if the Duchess would meet up with her mom before the birth of her first child with Prince Harry. It's hard to imagine it right now, as Meghan has an upcoming scheduled tour to Morocco. Her next venture will be throwing a more intimate baby shower in London.
Why Kate Middleton didn't attend?
The Duchess of Cambridge wasn't present at Meghan's posh baby shower. Allegedly, 20 people were there to celebrate, but not another royal in sight. It points to their rumored ongoing rift.
Well, it was all about a weekend with friends anyway.
The stakes are high that both the ladies, Doria and Kate, will grace Meghan's London baby shower. Until then, fingers crossed!
