Born Tyler Wayne Skaggs in California. He was a professional baseball pitcher who played for the Arizona Diamondbacks and Los Angeles Angels of Major League Baseball (MLB). According to his bio, he wore the jersey No. 45 with the nickname "Swaggy."

The professional pitcher was in his fourth year back with the Angels and had made a total of 15 appearances this season, recording a 7-7 record and 4.29 ERA in 79.2 innings.

Gone too soon

Los Angeles Angels pitcher, Tyler Skaggs was found dead in his hotel room on Monday. This is coming just two days after he pitched for the team at Angel Stadium of Anaheim.

Tyler’s team is in town to play a four-game series against the Texas Rangers. He was scheduled to pitch in the final on July 4. The news of his death was confirmed by his team in a statement on Monday via Twitter.

The Southlake Police Department in a statement said officers responded to a call of an unconscious male in a room in the Hilton Hotel. When they arrived, Tyler was found unresponsive and pronounced deceased at the scene.

Though Tyler’s cause of death has not yet been revealed, the police don’t suspect either foul play or suicide at this time.
