A hilarious response

Nursing mothers are still being disgraced for doing what nature calls them to do. Recently, a breastfeeding mom was asked to “cover up” at a public place, but her response had the internet in hysterics and quickly became viral.

The story was told by a Facebook user Carol Lockwood. She posted a photo of Melanie Dudley breastfeeding her 4-month-old baby in a bistro with a blanket thrown over her head, completely covering it.

She captioned the photo with:

A friend’s daughter-in-law was told to ‘cover up’ while feeding her baby, so she did!

The post received lots of comments and more than 100 thousand shares. People definitely appreciated the joke.

Lockwood stated:

PS: To reduce speculation: it was a man who asked her to cover up, it was 90 degrees and extremely humid, and, no, she wasn’t in a Muslim country disrespecting traditions.

This is how Facebook users reacted

Breastfeeding is not an easy thing, but it something that has to be done. Those people who are opposed to this idea were kids themselves too. It makes us wonder would they like if their mothers were publically shamed for nursing them?
