‘The Beat’ Vocalist, Legendary Ranking Roger, Passed Away From Cancer At The Age Of 56

The legendary and one-of-a-kind Ranking Roger passed away at the age of 56. The Beat band star lost his battle to cancer.

The music world community mourns the passing of a talented musician, a vocalist of the iconic band The Beat, Ranking Roger.

Roger passed away on Tuesday in his house, surrounded by his family. He was 56. The musician’s health saw a severe decline over the last years.

Last summer, he suffered a stroke. Roger was also diagnosed with two brain tumors and lung cancer, which became the cause of his demise.

Roger’s spokesman revealed the sad news via a statement on Instagram:

He fought & fought & fought, Roger was a fighter.

The spokesman also expressed the family’s gratitude to all fans, who shared their condolences about Ranking Roger’s passing.
