The wait for the new prince's name is on. This time round, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are going against their usual tradition of announcing baby names two days after delivery.

Prince William wants strong names
The reason for this wait is yet unknown, but Hello Magazine states that Prince Charles' trip to France for the Anzac Day commemorations is a possible reason for the delay.
Remembering #AnzacDay: The Duke, Prince Harry and Ms. Markle joined today's annual Service of Commemoration and Thanksgiving at Westminster Abbey. On Anzac Day we remember the Gallipoli landings of 25th April 1915, and all Australians and New Zealanders who have given their lives in the service of their countries 📷PA
It is said that the Cambridges may be waiting for granddad and grandson to be formally introduced before an official name will be announced.

The Duke and Duchess are not confirming anything just yet, but a technical glitch in the family's official website may be the clue we need.
The website offers access to individual pages for members of the royal family. The Queen, Prince Charles, Prince William and Prince Harry all have pages you can access via the main site's URL: royal.uk.
Although Prince George and Princess Charlotte have their own pages, access is restricted for now.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are pleased to share a new photograph of their family. The image features on Their Royal Highnesses' Christmas card this year. The photograph shows The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge with their two children at Kensington Palace. It was taken earlier this year by @chrisjacksongetty Their Royal Highnesses have also announced this morning that Princess Charlotte will attend the Willcocks Nursery School in London from January 2018. The Willcocks Nursery School has said: "We are delighted that The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have chosen the Willcocks Nursery School for Princess Charlotte. We look forward to welcoming Charlotte to our nursery in January."
But, according to Daily Mail, following this link: 'royal.uk/prince-albert', leads to the same interface as George or Charlotte’s page. Which would suggest that Albert the likely name.
The wait continues
The glitch has since been resolved and it is likely that the new parents could drag this for as long as possible.
Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip waited for as long as a month to announce Prince Charles' name. After them, Charles and Diana waited for 7 days.
For the Cambridges, the third time round, it remains to be seen how long they'll wait.
