7-Year-Old Boy Had His Leg Amputated After A Van Hit-And-Run Accident

Joshua Casillas’ life will never be the same again. The 7-year-old guy has lost his leg in the accident: a van hit him and then disappeared.

Joshua was crossing the street with the grandfather and other relatives in Los Angeles, when two cars, a Chevy van and a Kia Spectra, collided at the intersection. According to the information provided by the Los Angeles Police Department officials, the collision was so hard that forced one of the cars toward the pedestrians.

As a result, the boy was left with severe injuries. Joshua’s father, Izzy Casillas, said doctors had to amputate his leg under the knee, because the blood was not circulating to his toes.

The driver who caused the accident disappeared without providing an assistance to victims. Later, he was arrested. Joshua’s younger brother saw the crash, and now, he is very afraid of cars.

Joshua’s mother, Sandra Lemus, had to quit her job for the rest of the year to care for son. The family set up the Go Fund Me page to help with finances for the treatment.
