And while the students, who survived the deadly shooting, will never forget the events of that horrifying day, there are people who try their best to create new happy memories for them. And one of those people is a comedian and a TV-host Jimmy Fallon.

Jimmy surprised everyone at the Parkland school by delivering a speech at the graduation ceremony on Sunday. He started the speech with the words of congratulation for the students who earned their high school diploma. He said:

Today you’re graduating from high school. You should feel incredibly proud of yourselves.

The Tonight Show host didn’t forget to throw in a couple of jokes to lighten the mood, saying:

Here’s what will matter: You, the class of 2018, will have graduated, and you won’t be classmates anymore. You’ll be adults who Facebook search each other at two in the morning for the next 10 years.

The 43-year-old advocated against gun violence, as he joined the student-led protest March for Our Lives in March. He encouraged the students to move forward and push through the hard times. People took to social media to express their gratitude to Fallon:

One of the most emotional parts of the commencement was when four seniors who died in the shooting were honored. CNN reports that each of their names was called, as their family members and friends accepted their diplomas.
