Earlier, Matt Lauer was fired from NBC after a number of ladies accused him of harassment. He and his wife, Annette Roque, stayed out of media, but reports confirmed in 2018 that they're barely on speaking terms.

It foretold that the couple will soon be splitting. It was all down to business, and they had no personal interest left. Sources had revealed that the separation was not initiated immediately, as there were a lot to consider. Well, until now!

Forever is over

Matt Luer and Annette have been married for almost 20 years. They had met on a blind date. Now, disturbed by Matt's misconduct and infidelity, 52-year-old Roque has submitted the paperwork to divorce him.

The filing was officially done on July 9, in Suffolk County, New York, according to details obtained by People magazine.

Annette's attorney disclosed that every arrangement has already been made. The judges are due to review the case, and the proceedings will take up to a few months. Some insiders have also commented that Matt's wife will get at least $20 million in the settlement.

What about their kids?

The pair has three kids together: Jack, 17, Thijs, 11, and daughter Romy, 14. Their parents have agreed to take joint custody with no further discussion. Annette and Matt will both be allowed to meet and live with them as per an assigned schedule.
