It was their first event together, which happened less than a year after Kate Middleton’s marriage to Prince William. Their visit to Leicester was made as part of the Queen's Diamond Jubilee tour of the UK.

The Duchess of Cambridge was beaming with joy while she was out with the Queen, and both looked indeed stunning.

Queen Elizabeth was about to open the Bush House, which was previously the headquarters for BBC World Service. Currently, the building is leased by Kings College London.
