Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have shared some baby news. No, the Sussex firstborn hasn’t arrived yet. But we might not even know when the exciting event will take place.
The royal couple announced that they want their baby's arrival to be kept private. Meghan and Harry released an official statement saying that they wish to celebrate becoming parents on their own before making the news public.
However, the palace will let us know when the Duchess is in labor, so that’s good! The couple will likely share any baby announcements on their official Instagram account. It’s not a traditional path but American journalist Gayle King says there’s “nothing traditional” about Meghan and Harry.
Gayle King had a candid chat with ET, during which she shared her thoughts about the royal couple and their baby. The journalist said she is very excited for the Sussex kid’s arrival and supported the pair’s decision to keep it private.
The 64-year-old also noted that the couple’s relationship is “untraditional” because it’s highly unlikely that Prince Harry will ever become a king, so they have more freedom than William and Kate.
They're still part of the royal family, they love being part of the royal family and all that comes with that, but I think it also gives them breathing room for things that aren't traditional. Listen, nothing about their relationship is traditional, and I think that's a great thing.
King also agreed with her friend Oprah, who recently revealed that she believes Meghan is being treated “unfairly” by the media.
The TV host noted that the Duchess is more than what we “perceive her as being.” According to Winfrey, she is “wonderful” and “warm” in real life.
Oprah and Prince Harry have actually joined their forces to create a documentary on mental health, which will be released soon. It’s amazing to have such good support from friends but family is also very important. This video shows that loving means caring.
