Bette Midler Faced Backlash After Condemning President Trump For Paying African-American Supporters To Attend Rally

Bette Midler is facing backlash after suggesting that President Donald Trump paid African American supporters to add "blackground" to his rally.

The outspoken Trump critic took to Twitter Wednesday to share a photo of a group of black men standing in the crowd behind Trump during one of his reelection rallies.

Midler, 73, tweeted to her 1.7 million followers.

Midler, has been a frequent and vociferous critic of Trump. In June she deleted a tweet in which she suggested: "Maybe someone in his camp can give him a shiv." Trump called Midler a "washed up psycho" after Midler tweeted a fake Trump quote.

This time, however, the woman crossed the boundaries and offended not only Trump but many other people as well.

The tweet was heavily “ratioed,” meaning it received far more angry responses than retweets and likes:

Midler hasn't responded to the criticism or deleted the controversial tweet from her account, instead, the woman continues to post her controversial comments and tweets.
