On Tuesday, April 2, an official Instagram account for the Sussex family, @sussexroyal, was launched. It was introduced with a welcoming post that featured a stylish logo for H and M letters, the initials of Harry and Meghan.

It shouldn't come as a surprise that it reached 2 million followers on its debut. Apparently, they have broken a record for the most followed profile in a single day. How cool!

Their account title is allegedly stolen

A driving instructor based in Worthing, England, Kevin Keiley was handling the @sussexroyal for nearly three years. He ran this account to promote his favorite soccer team, Reading F.C. aka the Royals in his county of Sussex. While talking to BBC, he claimed that the Sussex couple has stolen his account.

According to him, he was completely blindsided to see his profile's title was changed to @_sussexroyal_ without any notice. Keiley is annoyed that he wasn't even contacted for it.

I’m a bit loath to use Instagram until I have a chat with them personally.

However, Instagram policy dictates that it can take control of accounts that are no longer active, having minimum followers. Kevin admits he wasn't maintaining it anyway, but still, doesn't consider it fair.

Kevin has the same ID on Twitter as well. The Twitterverse is making sure he doesn't lose that one too. They also condemned the power of the British royals.

Does his account not being in use justifies the Sussex couple's actions? Or maybe, a line was crossed indeed? Share this and let us know what you think.
