CBS Officially Announced Who Will Replace Sara Gilbert On "The Talk": Welcome, Marie Osmond!

Date May 8, 2019 11:43

CBS's hit show, The Talk is hosted by Carrie Ann Inaba with her fellow-anchors, Sara Gilbert, Eve, Sharon Osbourne, and Sheryl Underwood. If one chip falls, others follow to tumble as well. However, the network is making sure that doesn't happen.

Earlier this year, Sara Gilbert had announced that she'll soon be leaving the talk show. She explained it to be a very difficult decision for her as she is too much attached to the audiences. The Big Bang Theory star had to break this commitment in order to focus on her acting and producing career. Only one thing was to be considered now: Who will fill her position?

The vacancy is no longer available

It was previously leaked that a strong candidate, Marie Osmond has already won the spot. She has joined the show as a guest and the ratings had spiked. This made the producers shortlist her for Sara Gilbert's role. Many had expected her replacement to more young and dynamic but, the singer is much more than that.

It has now been confirmed by the network itself. According to Variety, Marie Osmond will join other hosts when the CBS daytime talk series returns for Season 10, this fall. This job will be no biggie for Marie as she had her own talk show with brother, Danny back in the 90s.

Other than that, her experience of engaging large crowds with her melodious singing also makes her fit for the task.
