Former 'Today' Matt Lauer And His Wife Annette Roque's Divorce Is Almost Done After Sexual Misconduct Claims

Date June 14, 2019

At the end of 2017, Matt Lauer was shamelessly fired from NBC's Today show for "inappropriate sexual behavior in the workplace." It's known that females are more bound to experience disrespectful behavior or sexual harassment than males.

Lauer's former colleague, Katie Couric, said she felt "very painful" about all this distressing, disorienting, and disturbing situation toward women. Though, she even didn't know something was going on like that.

Personal life is ended, too

Matt Lauer and his wife of 21 years, Annette Roque, are almost done with their divorce. The couple was believed to split shortly after the sexual misconduct claims back in 2017.

Page Six reveals Matt and Annette have finally reached their divorce settlement, which is close to finalizing everything.

According to family friends, the former Today's star was “bending over backward” to give his wife everything she wants and needs —  she will reportedly get up to $20 million in assets and keep their Hamptons horse farm in Water Mill.

The couple has three children together, so probably it played a vital role in such a divorce settlement. However, it is yet to figure out whether or not Matt and Annette will sell their palatial Hamptons home which Lauer bought from Richard Gere for $36.5 million.

Fox reports the two allegedly agreed to share joint custody of their children, sons Jack Mattew and Thijs, and daughter Romy.

Matt and Annette are believed to live in their house now, but once the divorce papers are signed, Lauer will likely get his own place.
