The Legend Is Gone! Emmy-Winning Actor Rip Torn Passed Away At 88

The iconic American actor and voice artist Rip Torn rose to stardom after his role in the movie Baby Doll. He is also mostly known for his legendary roles of Artie on The Larry Sanders Show, and Chief Zed in Men in Black.

Rip Torn was officially married three times: with Ann Wedgeworth, Geraldine Page, and Amy Wright. He was also a devoted father of six children.

The Emmy-winning actor passed away on July 9th, 2019, at the age of 88.

The cause of his death is still unknown.

According to Rip Torn’s publicist Rick Miramontez, the actor died at his home in Lakeville, Connecticut. He was surrounded by his closest people: wife, Amy Wright, and daughters Katie Torn and Angelica Page.
