This year's Miss USA title went to Sarah Rose Summers from Nebraska!
The competition was fierce as always, but this year was a bit different. Miss USA 2018 touched on the #MeToo Movement, which focuses on women's rights, so contestants were very supportive of each other.
Summers was the crowd's favorite, as she caused the biggest cheer with her plea for people everywhere to "listen to each other". Sarah also quickly won over the judges' affection as well and was rightfully crowned Miss USA 2018.
Who is Sarah Rose Summers?
Summers is a 23-year-old Omaha native. She previously earned the Miss Teen USA title back in 2012 and returned 4 years later to take the main event by storm.
Most importantly, Sarah is the first girl from Nebraska to ever win Miss USA!
She had a religious upbringing and graduated from Texas Christian University with a degree in Child Development. So, Sarah is not only absolutely gorgeous but also caring and smart.
Summers received so much support from her fans on social media.
Nebraska is the only one who answered that last question logically, she’s not stiff or trying to be perfect, she’s being herself and having a good time. I will probably cry if she doesn’t win. I will probably cry if she does win. #MissUSA— Becca Raney (@_beccaraney) 22 мая 2018 г.
Miss USA 2018 is Miss Nebraska and even without knowing her I'm glad. Her answers and personality won it. Congrats! #MissUSA— AmberDawn Landrum (@AmberDawnLand) 22 мая 2018 г.
Many moons ago, I met Sarah Rose Summers. We became friends when I moved to Nebraska. I knew she was incredible. I didn’t want to get my hopes up, but when she made Top 15 tonight, I KNEW she was the new #MissUSA. Here’s my reaction. Probably would’ve been the same if I won. We wish Sarah all the luck in the world during Miss Universe 2018!
