Royal Bombshell: Economy Jet Carrying Prince William And His Family Last Week Was Empty, And Fans Are Furious

Date August 27, 2019

Last week, Prince William and Kate Middleton were seen taking a commercial airline plane to take their children to Balmoral for the weekend.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were widely praised for opting against luxurious private jets, unlike Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, who were under fire for taking 4 jets in a span of 11 days.

However, it seems that Kate and William are not so innocent after all.

The commercial plane was empty

Turns out, the plane that carried the Cambridge family was empty. The Royal Family requested the Flybe airline plane for them to travel to Scotland, but the chosen time was unusual for that patricular flight.

The airline had to send an empty Embraer 145 jet to Scotland and back, only to transport Prince William's family. According to an expert, such luxury cost extra 4.5 tons of carbon emissions, the Daily Mail reports.

A source told the publication that it's highly irresponsible of the Royal Family:

It's utterly extraordinary and makes a mockery of their family's very laudable attempts to travel more economically and in a more environmentally friendly manner.
