Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are confidently moving towards complete independence from the rest of the Royal Family. Earlier this year, the couple split from charity they used to run with Prince William and Kate Middleton.

The statement regarding their official leave from the charity read:

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex will establish their own new charitable foundation with transitional operating support from The Royal Foundation. In addition both couples will continue to work together on projects in the future, including on The Foundation's mental health program, Heads Together.

While we're sad to see our favorite royals stopping their joint work, we're excited for what the Duke and Duchess of Sussex plan on doing by themselves.

Now, however, another blow to the royal ties came as Harry and Meghan seem to have separated from Prince Charles.

The Sussexes are on their own now?

The surprise came when Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were no longer listed on the recruitment page of Prince Charles' website. Previously, the tab featured the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Charles and Camilla, as well as Harry and Meghan, but the latter are not on the list anymore.

This entails that Prince Charles will no longer fund staff for Harry and Meghan, which raises the question of where will they get the funding for their royal needs? Previously, almost $5 million were allocated by Prince Charles to split between Harry and William, but not anymore.

Some speculate that the new royal parents will go to the Queen for help, but it's a bit unlikely since Her Majesty has way too many other royals to support.

So far, the decision to end their dependence on Prince Charles remains unexplained and leaves us scratching our heads.

The separation might be a good thing

Royal expert Erin Hill once commented on Harry's and Meghan's split from William and Kate, saying that it's actually good for them and makes them a family, rather than colleagues.

It’s a good thing and I think everybody can relate. If you can imagine living and working with your in-laws day-to-day. It’s a good thing to move away to set up their own households, their own organisations. In fact, we are learning they have come back together even stronger, more as a family now rather than colleagues and it is really strengthening these relationships.

Perhaps splitting from Prince Charles was made with the same intention, but for now we'll have to wait to see about the royal couple's plans for the future.
