Date September 2, 2019

The world experienced intense pain on August 31, 1997, when Princess Diana passed away after a fatal car crash.

The Princess of Wales, her rumored boyfriend, Dodi Al Fayed, alongside her driver and bodyguard were involved in an accident believed to be caused by a frantic chase by the paparazzi.

Sneaky royal plan

It wasn’t until about eight years after Diana’s tragic death did Charles and Camilla get to be together for good in the public eye.

However, a revelation by royal biographer Penny Junor says that the couple planned to tell the world about their affair before Diana’s death.

In Penny’s book, ‘The Firm,’ the author claims that Charles planned to go public with their affair with the appearance of a charity gala.

Charles and Camilla were reportedly planning a glamorous gala to raise funds for the National Osteoporosis Society, and it was there the big news was to be spilled.

In Penny’s words:

“700 invitations had been sent out, at £100 apiece, and although nothing was official, there were plans for the prince to pay a surprise visit to the party. It would have been a giant step along the path to making Camilla a legitimate part of the prince’s life – the phrase he used time and again – which was his ultimate goal.”

Unfortunately, all their plans came tumbling down when the morning of August 31 brought the devastating news of Diana’s demise.

Charles and Camilla were two weeks from hosting the party when Diana passed away.

Princess Diana’s death case may be reopened

2019 makes it 22 years since the Princess of Wales passed away. However, a confession by a witness at the crash site may cause the case to be reopened.

According to US Magazine, Le Van Thanh, who drove a white Fiat Uno similar to the one that hit Diana’s Mercedes, has spoken out on what happened that night.

His revelation might hold the truth to what truly happened that night.
