Meghan Markle's Collaboration With Vogue Will Rake In Millions, But Not A Dime Of It Will Go To Charity

The Duchess of Sussex chose to try something a little different when she decided to guest-edit the September issue of British Vogue.

According to editor-in-chief of the magazine Edward Enninful, Meghan was asked to appear on the front page but she shot that concept down because she had a strong desire to do more.

In a statement, Enninful revealed that Meghan felt being in the frontpage could make her appear "boastful."

She wanted, instead, to focus on the women she admires.

Even though she tried to go the extra mile, some PR experts still have their reservation about this collaboration between the royal and the publication.

According to the Daily Mail, none of the money made from the sales of the magazine will go to her charities. PR expert Anthony Burr stated that the September issue will make millions of pounds for both parties, pointing out that the edition alone will be a big seller.

For the Duchess of Sussex, this step will help her be taken more seriously as an agent of change and will offer a boost to her charities, Burr added.

Enninful confirmed that Meghan wasn't paid for her role as guest-editor but the Duchess' charity won't benefit from the windfall.

There have been mixed reactions following this revelation. Some people have praised Meghan, saying it isn't a big deal that the money isn't going to charity.

However, there are still some who feel she should have done more.

Regardless, what no one can deny is that the Duchess has done and is still doing all she can to promote her causes. And the magazine guest-editorship is a good example of that.
