Mollard stated that three years is generally seen at a point where couples move out of the "limerence phase." She explained that limerence is a stage of the relationship where "it's all butterflies" and everyone gets along swimmingly.

Three years is around the stage where reality starts to kick in.

The royal expert went on to add that for Harry and Meghan, their three-year relationship has undergone a lot of changes like having a baby, moving into a new home, plus the pressure of being in the limelight.

There are a lot of conflicting forces within their lives.

She then expressed that the royal couple would need to have a very strong marriage to survive through all this, especially if their passionate feelings towards each other begin to mellow out.

And, I think that’s going to be very, very hard.

Coping with criticisms

Every marriage has its ups and downs, and celebrity unions even more so.

Harry and Meghan have been on the receiving end of heavy criticisms from the public since they got married. From being slammed for not sharing more about their son to being attacked for taking private jets.

There's certainly a lot on their plate but we hope they survive through this phase in their marriage without hitches.
