“I’m not okay”

Meghan Markle in an interview with Tom Bradby of ITV for the documentary Harry & Meghan: An African Journey shared insight into the tough times she has been experiencing as a royal.

In the video released, she talked about some of the challenges and how tough it has been for her to be a wife, mom in one of the most famous royal families. She said:

Not many people have asked if I'm OK, but it's a very real thing to be going through behind the scenes.

Following Meghan’s interview, a showbusiness journalist Katie Hind is opening up about how the former actress’ UK publicist begged her to get the Duchess in the tabloids.

The journalist revealed that she met Prince Harry’s wife for drinks back in 2013 at a rooftop bar in London. Katie said Meghan was determined to make a name in the UK. She said:

To be honest, I’d never heard of Meghan or Suits but reluctantly agreed even though I’d been rather looking forward to putting my feet up in front of the TV.

Katie continued:

It soon became clear that Meghan was determined to raise her profile even if it was with an inconsequential 80-word piece tagged on to the end of my weekly column.

Meghan's former friend, Ninaki Priddy revealed that the Duchess had always dreamt of becoming famous. In an interview she said:

‘Meg always wanted to be famous. She just loved to be the center of attention. In a way, she was nurtured on a stage. She knew no other life.

The Duchess of Sussex has been a target of intense media scrutiny. We hope Meghan gets through this difficult hurdle with grace and stable emotional health.
