Meghan Markle Was Criticized For Deciding To Spend Archie’s First Christmas With Her Mom Doria But Not The Queen

Date November 14, 2019

A royal expert criticized Meghan Markle and Prince Harry for their decision not to spend Archie’s first Christmas with the Queen.

Harry and Meghan’s Christmas plans revealed

The Palace officially confirmed that Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan will not celebrate Christmas 2019 with the Queen and the rest of the royal family. Instead, the Sussexes will take their son Archie to the United States to spend the holidays with the Duchess’ mother Doria Ragland.

Well, it wasn’t a big surprise for royal watchers as a few weeks ago, Harry and Meghan announced their plan to take a 6-week break from the royal duties. Fans suggested that the lovebirds will use this break to fly to America to meet with Meghan’s pals and spend time with her charming mother.

However, according to royal expert Angela Levin, Harry and Meghan’s decision to skip the X-mas celebration with Her Majesty was not the smartest one.

The expert said:

I think it’s a shame because little cousins, I can imagine Princess Charlotte being absolutely brilliant with little Archie.

Levin added:

It is an opportunity to mend things and that’s a shame she doesn’t want to do that.

Fans’ comments

In Harry and Meghan’s defense, we need to admit that after celebrating Christmas with Doria, they plan to spend the rest of the festive season with the Queen. It seems fair as in this case, both grannies will have a chance to spend quality time with baby Archie. And what do you think?
