Royal tradition Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle need to follow

Beatrice and Edoardo’s are likely to have a star-studded guest list for their wedding including members of the royal family such as Meghan and Kate. However, an expert explained that when attending, both Duchesses need to follow an important tradition.

Royal journalist, Camilla Tominey, during an appearance on This Morning said Meghan and Kate need to follow traditions when attending royal weddings. She explained:

We’ll have to keep an eye on Kate and Meghan because traditionally they wear outfits they have already worn before.

When asked if this was a royal tradition, Camilla said:

Yes, so they don’t upstage the bride. Just so the attention isn’t on them and rightly on the bride.

The Duchess of Cambridge is no stranger to this particular royal tradition. For Prince Harry and Meghan’s wedding she wore a stunning yellow coat which she has been spotted in a few times

More royal wedding traditions

Over the years a few things at royal weddings may have changed, but there are certain traditions that have remained the same. This includes the royal bride’s wedding bouquet is laid on the grave of the Unknown Warrior.

The wedding rings of the brides are made from Welsh gold and their bouquets also include a sprig of Myrtle.

Some female members of the British royal family need to be careful when picking outfits for such occassions.
