About Pippa's vintage dress

On Monday, she showed up at her nephew's christening in a pastel blue vintage gown that looked so familiar it drew immediate comparisons with Kate's pink Alexander McQueen dress to her 2017 wedding.

But, it turns out that Pippa's vintage dress has a much closer twin in recent history. It made an appearance at Meghan Markle's wedding in a slightly different form.

Remember Abigail Spencer's polka dot vintage gown? The same one she wore when she and Priyanka Chopra - both friends of Markle - did their 'BFF squad walk' to St. George's Chapel at Windsor Castle?

The Pippa effect

Both Spencer's memorable piece and Pippa's silk blue gown are exactly the same one made by the Italian-born, London-based designer Alessandra Rich.

Pippa, who chose to wear the same flower-cut earrings with Kate Middleton for the christening, had her own gown custom made to fit her growing belly. And she picked the color herself.

The designer, Rich, told people that the dress sold out the instant Spencer wore it to the royal wedding. Needless to stay, she'll be making more of these thanks to the Pippa effect.
