Amanda Holden Will Celebrate 10th Wedding Anniversary This Year: Inside Her Relationship With Chris Hughes
You probably know who Amanda Holden is, as the TV presenter has been a judge on Britain’s Got Talent since 2007. But what about her husband? Let’s get to know him a bit better.
Chris Hughes is a record producer. The two met in 2003 and started dating a year later. Since then, the couple has been happy together, raising two beautiful children – Alexa (11) and Hollie (5).
And this year, Chris and Amanda will celebrate their 10th wedding anniversary!
That’s right, the pair tied the knot on December 10, 2008, in Somerset, and back then, it was clear the two were meant for each other. Here’s a bit of an insight into their stunning yet funny wedding ceremony.
As the big day took place near Christmas, the whole venue was decorated with candles and white snow, creating a fairytale-like atmosphere. The wedding invitation was also unique, as it had a cartoon depicting the British beauty pulling her husband by the neck on a lead.
But the main highlight of the day was, of course, Chris’ speech that was full of jokes. First, he created tension by saying he didn’t like Amanda’s dress only to reassure everyone that he loved it.
Then, he explained what this marriage was about for him: ‘an engagement ring, a wedding ring, and suffering.’ But all jokes aside, it looks like the two really enjoy the time spent together.
Last year, Amanda paid a touching tribute to her husband on their anniversary day by sharing a throwback picture of their wedding and thanking Chris for making her the happiest girl in the worlds. She also once posted a picture of herself with Chris along the photo of John Lennon and Yoko Ono, captioning it 'Love is the answer'.
We hope their love will only get stronger!
