Dwayne Johnson On The Possibility Of His Running For The Presidency: There’s A Chance But Not In 2020

It’s not the first time that we hear the rumors about Dwayne Johnson running for the post of the USA president in 2020. For example, when taking part in the Ellen Show, he once admitted he’s “seriously considering” it. Later on, the actor confirmed the news in his interview with GQ magazine.

Now, when the year of the election is coming closer, Dwayne has addressed the question of his presidency once again. However, this time, he is a bit more reluctant to say that the possibility is high. On the contrary, the actor says it’s an extremely responsible position. At the same time, he admits the support of so many people is really flattering.

I mean, look, people are very excited, and it's so flattering that they're excited. I think it's also a function of being very unsatisfied with our current president. But this is a skill set that requires years and years of experience. On a local level, on a state level and then on a national level. I have the utmost respect for our country and that position, and I'm not delusioned in any way to think, 'Oh, absolutely, if Trump can do it, I can do it, and I'll see you in 20-whatever, get ready.' Not at all.

People love him so much. In July, on his behalf, someone filed the "Run the Rock 2020" campaign. It was aimed to make Dwayne eligible for the 2020 election. The man who did it -  Kenton Tilford. However, there’s no vivid connection between him and Dwayne.
