The little prince, whose name hasn’t been announced yet, was born on St. George's Day, which celebrates England's patron saint. He is the sixth great-grandchild of Queen Elizabeth II, who had her 92nd birthday just a few days ago. The baby boy will take the fifth place in the line to the throne.

As with the previous pregnancies, happy parents Kate and William decided to keep the gender of the baby in secret. Not only from the public but from themselves, too.

The baby boy is a historic royal baby, as his birth comes under the new Succession to the Crown Act 2013, which says that the succession to the Crown will not be depended on gender. This means that the newly-born son of Kate and William will not automatically displace his older sister, 2-year-old Princess Charlotte, in the line to the throne.

Nonetheless, the newest little royal is displacing his uncle, Prince Harry, who moves to the sixth in line and his children with Meghan Markle will follow him.

As the old British birthing rules state, the Queen was the first person to be notified of the birth of the new royal baby. According to the palace, members of both families are delighted to hear the news.

Now, when the third baby has arrived, all attention will turn to Prince Harry’s approaching wedding to American actress Meghan Markle, which will take place at Windsor Castle on May 19.
