A kid, who inspired millions of Internet users to believe that dreams may come true if you have faith, lost his battle with cancer. Chris Evans took to Twitter with a touching tribute to his most devoted fan, Damon Billeck, who died on Tuesday.
Chris and Damon: true friendship exists
Each night, Damon Billeck was sleeping under a portrait of his favorite comics character, Captain America. The Marvel’s fan knew everything about his brave idol and imagined himself as a superhero with super abilities.
Damon watched his favorite movie Avengers many times and was a huge fan of Chris Evans who portraits Captain America on screen. When the actor found out about his young fan with a terrible diagnosis – Damon was battling cancer- he contacted the boy on social media.
Chris and Damon had kept in touch for the last year. The boy’s parents said the duo constantly sent messages to each other via Twitter.
In January, when Damon found out that Evans will play in the Broadway performance Lobby Hero, he sent his best wishes to the actor, who already became his close friend to that moment.

Death is not the end, but the beginning of something that goes beyond our understanding.
His story will be eternalized like that of a young warrior who fought bravely for life to the end.
