Heartbreaking Tragedy At Trump Tower In New York: Fire Leaves 1 Person Dead And 6 Firefighters Injured

A heartbreaking tragedy took place on Saturday on Fifth Avenue in New York City: one resident dead and six firefighters were injured after a fire broke out at Trump Tower.

The 50th-floor apartment at Trump Tower was entirely on fire when firefighters arrived at the place at 5:30 p.m. Saturday.



According to the officials’ report, one man who was in the apartment was taken to a hospital in a critical condition and later died. Six firefighters suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

At the moment of the fire incident, none of the members of the Trump family were in the building. President Trump and his son Eric took to Twitter soon after the tragedy and thanked the firefighters for their great job.



President tweeted that the fire was "very confined" in the "well-built building."

Officials said the fire may have been caused by electrical heaters inside the cooling tower. Further details of the incident are still to be revealed in the course of the investigation.

Trump Tower, named after the 45th president of the United States, Donald Trump, is also the headquarters of The Trump Organization. The president maintains the building's top three floors as his residential home.
