Celebrities' example

Women are obliged to conduct a regular check-up in order to secure themselves from an unwilling illness. They should understand that the earlier the cancer is detected, the easier it will be to deal with it. As great examples, some of the influential celebrities have gone through the challenging path of overcoming the illness:

Kathy Bates

Diagnosed in 2003 with ovarian cancer and successfully bet it.

Sheryl Crow

Detected ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS) in 2006 and overcame it to create the organization to help others – Sheryl Crow Imaging Center at Funk’s Pink Lotus Breast Center.

Kylie Minogue

The one to pay much attention to raising awareness about breast cancer around the world after dealing with the condition by herself.

Cynthia Nixon

Revealed her diagnose in 2008 and became one of the greatest activists to promote awareness of breast cancer.

Angelina Jolie

Went through preventive double mastectomy to cease any risk of developing breast cancer that was common among her family. Jolie is an advocate of the preventative measures when it is about dealing with cancer.

The lesson is clear – you should not wait until 40 to conduct your first mammogram. It is never late to start your fight with cancer. However, the earlier you understand your position, the easier it will be for you to get rid of the annoying problem.
