The relationship between Kate Middleton and Camila Parker-Bowles has allegedly not been on the best of terms.

Christopher Andersen in his book Game of Crowns writes about complicated dynamics and rivalry between the Queen, Camilla Parker-Bowles, and Kate Middleton.

In an exclusive interview with The Daily Beast, Cristopher explained the reason why Camilla considered Kate to be a bad partner for William:

She did not look at Kate as someone who was worthy of joining the royal family. Kate is the first working-class woman to be accepted into the royal family. She is descended from coal miners, and her mother was a flight attendant. So for all those reasons, Camilla never really felt that Kate Middleton, as an individual, and the Middleton family, as a whole, were going to be worthy of entering into the royal family.

But Camilla Parker-Bowles' son, Tom Parker-Bowles, has denied these rumors. He claimed both women have enjoyed a warm relationship.

Tom says his mother Camilla and Kate are friends. In an interview with Daily Mail, he said:

They get on fine. I don't think there's any truth to [the rumours of tension].

Nevertheless, not everyone believes him. Especially, after Kate Middleton gave Camilla a major side-eye at the royal wedding. Experts claim that this gesture was a rather dignified way to reprimand Camilla.
