Of course! Who wouldn’t love Joey? The young fellow of the Italian origin with an incredible smile and his famous phrase “How’re U doing?”

But few people know that in real life, Matt suffered from depression and didn’t appear in public for years. The reason for this was his daughter’s disease.

“It was a very hard time”

Matt married a model Melissa McNight in 2003. One year later, their daughter Marina was born.

Marina was a joyful baby, and Matt just couldn’t understand how his daughter could be so perfect and so sick.

The actor first realized there was a problem when his little girl kept tumbling onto her left side as she crawled. When Marina was one year old, doctors made a sad diagnosis. She had a cortical dysplasia, a condition which affects the brain, bones, and motor skills.

LeBlanc recalled how his daughter’s disease affected him at that time in an exclusive interview released by Mirror:

For years and years, I barely left the house. I was burnt out. I wanted to not have a schedule, not be somewhere. It was a very dark time. I almost had a nervous breakdown.

Today, Matt still prefers to stay far from the public eyes. No, he doesn’t hide anymore, he just enjoys spending quality time with his precious daughter. They make breakfasts, go horse riding, hiking, and do many other things together.

Matt said:

Spending time with her is the best thing I’ve ever done. We have a great bond and it’s the best thing in my life.

Marina’s recovery is nothing but a miracle. And we truly believe it was her wonderful father who made this happen, because whatever you go through in your life, the most important is to never lose faith.

We are extremely happy for Matt LeBlanc and his daughter and wish them a lot of bright days and unforgettable moments.
